The need to manufacture of a M.V. Substation is presented when the power requirements of consumers exceed 135kVA, which is the highest power supply of Low Voltage the Public Power Corporation offers. Over this power the customer must install his own Substation with Medium Voltage supply of 20kV from the Power Public Corporation according to their design and technical specifications.

Medium Voltage Substations are of high importance for the electricity distribution networks as they are the points where the Medium Voltage of the network is converted from 20,15kV or 6,6kV to Low Voltage 400/230V for industrial or domestic use. For energy production from PV parks, Wind parks, Small Hydroelectric Projects we have step up Substations to 20kV in order to connect with the M.V. network of the Public Power Corporation.

The basic parts of Medium Voltage Substations are:
Power Transformer, Oil or Cast Resin
Medium Voltage Switchboard
Low Voltage Panels

The above equipment can be installed indoors or outdoors in a kiosk, always according to the specifications of the Public Power Company, International standards of safety and the requirements of the installation.
